Springfield College Recognizes Dean's List Students for the 2017 Spring Semester.

At WPI, all undergraduates are required to complete a research-driven, professional-level project that applies science and technology to addresses an important societal need or issue.

The following students participated in the University of New Hampshire Commencement Ceremony held Saturday, May 20, 2017, in Durham, N.H. Students who received the honor of summa cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.85-4.0; students who received the honor of magna cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.65-3.84; and students who received the honor of cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.50-3.64. Students are only graduated after the Registrar's Office has certified that all degree requirements have been successfully completed. Participating in the commencement ceremony is the act of honoring and celebrating academic achievement.

This year's undergraduate address was given by Rodney Brooks, chairman and chief technology officer of Rethink Robotics.

The following local residents have been named to Emerson College's Dean's List for the Spring 2017 semester. The requirement to make the Dean's List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher.

The criteria for the WPI Dean's List differs from most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the Dean's List by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects.

Over 50 students from the Ithaca College School of Health Sciences and Human Performance were inducted into one of three different honor societies: Pi Theta, Rho Phi Lambda, and Alpha Eta.

On Saturday, May 6, Colby-Sawyer celebrated its 179th Commencement, recognizing students and other individuals for academic excellence, outstanding contributions to society, and service to the college and community.

The Assumption College Department of Philosophy has announced that nine students were inducted into the Philosophy International Honor Society, Phi Sigma Tau, on Tuesday, April 18.

Nichols College has recognized 469 students who achieved Dean's List status for their academic work during the fall 2016 semester.

The IQP (Interactive Qualifying Project), is one of two major projects required of WPI undergraduates. IQPs enable students to pursue hands-on, real-world research opportunities all over the world.

To qualify for the Dean's List, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better and must have completed successfully all courses for which they were registered.

Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

Many Eastern Connecticut State University students participate in Eastern's clubs during the academic year. The student club programs range from social to educational, physical to spiritual and civic engagement programs that benefit and enrich the Eastern community.

Students who receive a term grade point average of 3.3 or higher while completing at least 3 courses for a conventional letter grade earn the fall Dean's Award for Academic Excellence.

Husson University is pleased to share their Fall 2016 President's List. Students who earn President's List honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours during the semester and earn a grade point average of between 3.80 to 4.0 during the period.
