Several local residents made the academic Deans' List at Azusa Pacific University. These students are honored for a fall 2017 grade-point average of 3.5 or better. They are joined by 1,988 students receiving the same honor.

The following students have been named to the Dean's List at the University of New Hampshire for the fall 2017 semester.

Assumption College has announced that 551 students have been named to the College's prestigious undergraduate Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester.

The following students have been named to Emerson College's Dean's List for the Fall 2017 semester. The requirement to make the Dean's List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher that semester.

Approximately 2.419 students have made the Fall Semester 2017 Dean's List for academic achievement at Coastal Carolina University. To qualify for the Dean's List, freshmen must earn a 3.25 grade point average, and upperclassmen must earn a 3.5 grade point average.

Coastal Carolina University has announced that 814 students made the President's honor list for high academic achievement for the 2017 Fall Semester. To qualify for the President's List, students must earn a 4.0 grade point average and must be enrolled full time.

Husson University is pleased to share their Fall 2017 President's List. Students who earn President's List honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours during the semester and earn a grade point average of between 3.80 to 4.0 during the period.

It is with great pleasure that Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) congratulates the following students on being named to the fall 2017 Dean's List. Eligibility for the Dean's List requires that a student accumulate an academic grade point average (GPA) of 3.5-3.699 and earn 12 credits for the semester.

Bates College graduated 460 students from 38 states and 36 countries on May 28, 2017. Cumulatively, the Class of 2017 performed 80,000 hours of community service, exemplifying Bates' commitment to community learning and civic action.

Coastal Carolina University's held a commencement ceremony for an estimated 390 candidates for graduation Aug. 4, 2017, at the HTC Student Recreation and Convocation Center on campus. In his remarks, commencement speaker John Hutchens, biology professor and ecologist, encouraged graduates to take time in the future to interact with nature and with other people. "In today's high tech world we are often racing along at breakneck speed, but being outside slows you down and allows you to experience the rhythms of nature," said Hutchens. "You can actually hear yourself think and you can be a part of something bigger than yourself."

Nichols College has recognized 470 students who achieved Dean's List status for their academic work during the spring 2017 semester.

Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

The following students have been named to the Dean's List at the University of New Hampshire for the spring 2017 semester.

The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce that more than 5,290 undergraduates have qualified for the Spring 2017 Dean's List. The students represent nearly all of Rhode Island's cities and towns, all six New England states, New York and New Jersey, many other states and countries.

More than 4,300 University of Nebraska-Lincoln students have been named to the Deans' List for the fall semester of the 2016-17 academic year.

Eastern Connecticut State University recently released the names of full-time students who were named to the Dean's List for the spring 2017 semester.

Some 3,228 students were awarded degrees during the University of Vermont's 216th commencement ceremonies. James Fallows, national correspondent for "The Atlantic" and one of the country's leading journalists across more than three decades, delivered the address.

To be named to the dean's list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.
